Beginning of Love and War

I love how this comic turned out.
I love sepia.

Anyway, so this is kinda the background information before I show you guys how John and Danny first meet (which is next).
Basically, the war is 2-3 months in and taking place mostly on Knot Island. William has been dead around 4 months.
The lead general for the Sevii side is the chief of Kin Island, Iago Ramos.
Iago is a very serious man and a very good general. He knows the area and knows how to defend it. Kanto loses more than it wins early on.

John is there along after Li went back to Johto. After witnessing the brutal aftermath of a battle, Li already started having some PTSD symptoms and John told him to just go.
Li wanted to full on share everything with the Sevii side. John is more apathetic- he doesn't care who wins at this point and is maintaining a god-like disinterest in this little human affair.

Danny was a nurse who joined the war effort to save lives. After witnessing the incompetent Kanto generals sending men out to die senselessly, she figures she could do better and starts amassing a small following of supporters among the soldiers. When one of the generals die in battle (General Carter), Danny stages something of a coup and takes over his army with her own.

So here, Danny and John are aware of each other's vague existence.
